SURFACE PREPARATION: Surfaces should be clean, dry, free of dust, dirt and oily residues. Oil spots can be burned off with a propane torch. Metacrylics Plastic Sealer is recommended for all surfaces.
SPRAY APPLICATION and COVERAGE RATES:
Apply Plastic Sealer @ 0.10 - 0.15 gals/sq. yd. [1.1 - 1.66 gallons/100 sq. ft.] using a .031 spray tip. Allow 4-24 hours drying time. Hints: Don't spray on windy days! Use barricades around the job. Visqueen all areas not to be coated. Be sure to have 1/2 a barrel of water to flush the pump & hose when finished.
BROOM APPLICATION and COVERAGE RATES: Apply Plastic Sealer @ 0.10 - 0.15 gals/sq. yd. (1.1 - 1.66 gallons/100 sq. ft.). Keep applicator brooms in the shade when not in use. Allow 4 to 24 hours drying time or dry enough to walk on. Cold temperatures slow down drying time. Start early, stop early!
THINNING: Thin with water
CLEAN-UP: Clean tools and equipment with water . Cured material may be removed with amyl acetate, hand cleaner, or lacquer thinner. Do not use these materials (except hand cleaner) on bare skin.
STORAGE: Store in areas where temperature remains above 40oF. Prior to use, agitate for 2-3 minutes by hand or machine. Reseal opened containers. If contents skin, remove skin, agitate and use immediately.
* 10-15 mil thickness equivalent to application rate of 0.10 gallons per square yard
* Specimen shall show no signs of cracking, checking, blistering or peeling after 500 hours exposure to accelerated ultra-violet and moisture weathering.
* Peel Strength measured after 150 hours minimum weatherometer exposure.
