Metacrylics® Application over Tar & Gravel Roofing

BUR: “Built-Up Roofing” is usually 2-4 plies of roofing adhered with hot tar and loose gravel applied to the final layer for fire protection.

Tear off existing roof(s) (typically, roof tear-off companies charge about $.35 to $.50 per ft² to remove and dispose of the old roof) and install Metacrylics® per the New Construction Specification. Note: Many advantages to removing the old roof(s) include reducing the weight of the roof from 6+ lbs. /ft² to 1 lbs. /ft², having a fully adhered system that can withstand 100 mph winds, easy to clean and maintain reflective cool roof benefits reduce energy consumption as much as 20%, and all penetration on the roof receive new flexible GEL & fabric reinforcement on all roof penetrations, skylights, vents, etc. that will never leak again.
